Supreme Yarns to expand with an outlay of Rs238 cr

Supreme Yarns plans to expand the capacity of its Ludhiana-based unit over the next one year, involving an outlay of Rs 238 crore.
The capital required for the expansion would be funded through internal accruals and financial institutions.
The capacity expansion of the company envisages doubling its spinning capacity to manufacture knitted garments, during the first phase, informed Mr Ajay Gupta, Joint Managing Director.
The company proposes to install a 100 percent export-oriented unit to manufacture knitted garments with a capacity of 30,000 pieces a day.
It has plans to increase the daily capacity to 60,000 pieces during the second phase, he said.
The company exports its products to the USA, Canada, UK, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Korea and Hong Kong.
