Foam Mattings tie-up with Geo Group for overseas marketing

Foam Mattings (India) Ltd, owned by Kerala Government has inked an agreement with Geo Group of Companies to market its coir, sisal and jute products in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and other countries.
The public sector coir company's marketing tie-up is part of a strategy to boost its market in domestic and international markets.
Foam Mattings has already taken the first steps to enter domestic market by finalizing agreements with Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation, Consumerfed and Kerala State Industrial Enterprises for selling the company's products.
As Foam Mattings has no outlets in domestic market it has also entered into agreements with agencies to sell its products in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat to increase its footprints in India.
Foam Mattings was incorporated in 1979 with an authorised capital of Rs3 crore and it has been engaged in the promotion, manufacture and marketing of coir, sisal and jute products.
The company employs 180 skilled personnel to produce a large number of products using state-of-the-art equipment, including a fully automatic power loom and modern dye house.
