Burmatex appoints Kerrin Muckart as Business Manager

Carpet manufacturer Burmatex has appointed Kerrin Muckart to the role of Business Manager in International Sales. Kerrin brings a wealth of experience from the interior furnishings sector which he will now apply to the export areas in his charge for Burmatex.
Kerrin, originally from Scotland, arrives at the Yorkshire firm via the Middle East and Far East, where he has worked since 1989. Having managed the interiors division of Saudi based HAK Algahtani, a company that specifies, supplies and installs high quality interior products such as flooring and furniture, Kerrin will be heavily involved in the company's development of export trade in this area as well as in South America and certain European countries.
Over recent years, Burmatex has developed well-established links with the USA and EU whilst looking to set up new trade routes with major clients throughout Asia and the Middle East.
The company now supplies over 50 countries, working on high profile projects such as the UN's offices in Nairobi and parts of Dubai and Melbourne International Airports. The export sales team is consistently expanding into new markets, helping to strengthen Burmatex's global presence.
On his appointment, Kerrin confirmed he was keen to make an impact for Burmatex: “I hope to increase both the profile and sales of the firm in my export territory as well as encouraging new growth in areas we are yet to penetrate. Burmatex is already being taken seriously onthe global stage and I intend to build on this reputation for professionalism and customer service.”
