Carrefour opens 99th retail outlet in Suzhou

On 21 June 2007, Carrefour China inaugurated a new retail outlet in Suzhou in the Jiangsu Province on the east of China. This is Carrefour's 99th hypermarket in China. It offers a sales area of 6,200sq.m and 37 check-outs.
Carrefour group has grown to become one of the world's leading distribution groups. The world's second-largest retailer and the largest in Europe, the group currently operates four main grocery store formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, hard discount and convenience stores. The Carrefour group currently has over 12,500 stores, either company-operated or franchises.
