Yarn maker Gillanders announces unaudited financial results

Gillanders Arbuthnot & Co Ltd's results for the quarter ended 30th June, 2007 are not comparable with those for the quarter ended 30th June,
2006 as the latter figures were compiled before the aforesaid Scheme of Amalgamation became effective.
Consumption of raw materials as shown in item 5(c) above includes cost of green leaves purchased. Cost of green leaf plucked from own garden for production is not ascertainable at the intermediate stage.
Gillanders Arbuthnot & Co Ltd has a rich heritage intricately linked with the undivided British India. The Yarn division produces Yarn for Domestic purpose and Exports purpose.
