Oerlikon Neumag joins hand with Elmarco

Oerlikon Neumag has signed a declaration of mutual co-operation with Elmarco, s.r.o. The cooperation is for both parties - the next step offering complete technological solutions for nanofiber applications. To date, Elmarco is the first company worldwide which has supplied an industrial production line for nanofibers in the field of electro-spinning.

The combination of Elmarco's nanofiber and Oerlikon Neumag's nonwoven technologies offers the development of unique solutions for industrial production of sound absorbent materials like Nanospider AcousticWeb.

“Our aim was to gain an established, innovative partner covering the whole spectrum of technologies for the production of nonwoven materials. One who offers a worldwide distribution and service network and is capable of positively responding to ustomers' requirements”, said Pavel Novotny, general director of Elmarco.

Dr Stefan Schlichter, head of Oerlikon Neumag's carding division, states: “As a company that always realizes a strong commitment for new technologies, we see a big potential in the future cooperation with Elmarco in the field of ultra lightweight nonwoven applications. Together with Elmarco, we will explore the potential of the new nanoweb technology on the nonwovens world market".

Elmarco was founded in 2000 and established itself as a supplier to the semi-conductor industry within a year. Four years later, Elmarco developed the Nanospider technology and designed the first industrial line for the production of nylon nanofibres.
