PSF producer GreenFiber expansion plan

GreenFiber International SA is the only polyester staple fiber producer in Romania, with the goal of becoming the most important producer of recycled polyester staple fibers in Europe.

At the present moment, GreenFiber International SA owns two production lines, the first one being inaugurated in Buzau in April 2006, and the second one in Iasi in February 2007 with a total production capacity of 3000 tones per month (36.000 tones per year)

With the purpose of becoming the most important polyester staple fiber producer from recycled material in Europe, GreenFiber International SA is currently developing several investment projects which will reach the highest point in 2008 with the third production line and a total production capacity of 4500 per month (54.000 tones per year.)

Having in view its expansion projects, GreenFiber International SA has won the public auction for:
- the purchasing of SC TEROM SA Iasi facilities – where the second production line of GreenFiber is functioning and also the third one will be installed, the space there allowing even the installment of the 4th line of GreenFiber.
- the purchasing of SC CORAPET SA – that is aiming at the revival of the industry.

Both companies are former producers of polyester staple fibers made of virgin material. The renewal of industry is possible through investments in the latest competitive technologies, as well as by orientating to the “GREEN INDUSTRY” and recycled raw material.
