According to experts from the industry India's leading chemical producer, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd is planning to import 50,000 metric tons of naphtha between the periods January 29 to February 2 of 2008.
The company requires two cargoes, 25,000 tons each, and the goods will be dispatched from the ports of Arabian Gulf except Iraq and Iran. The supply of naphtha will also be made from the ports of Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Naphtha extracted from crude oil will serve as a raw material for other chemicals and gasoline.
