Swift Global Logistics recently announced the opening of its newest offices in Africa – one in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo and another in Maputo, Mozambique – bringing the Swift network to a total of 44 offices in 19 countries.
Swift, headquartered in Dubai, UAE, in its 18th year of operations, has always prided itself in maintaining its position as the only freight forwarding company to offer logical logistics solutions into Africa. In all, Swift now has 24 offices in Africa alone.
“We are focused on delivering only innovative logistics solutions for our customers in the Far East, Europe, and North America who want to penetrate the trade lanes in the African continent. No other freight forwarding company based in the UAE covers Africa the way we do,” said Vincent Brank, Swift Group's Executive Director.
Swift pioneered innovative and unique products, such as SAM (Sea Air Model), which is the first multimodal solution into Africa. It is a cost-effective scheduled service with estimated transit times that result in better planning and faster business cycles at reasonable cost.
Surelines, on a similar note, is a scheduled NVOCC, LCL service into Africa. SPL (Swift Perishable Logistics), operating from Dubai Flower Centre, offers African farmers and traders, via Swift's wide branch network in Africa, an excellent opportunity to export perishables around the world.
