Ms Meixelsperger as Shopko SVP, CFO

Shopko is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Meixelsperger to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In her new position, Meixelsperger is responsible for all accounting, treasury, tax, planning and audit activities for the regional mass retailer.

Meixelsperger is a seasoned financial executive with more than 20 years of experience. She joined Shopko as Vice President, Treasure in August 2005 and was promoted to Vice President, Controller in April 2006. Prior to joining Shopko, Meixelsperger's experience included servicing as CFO the Credit Union National Association and Affiliates and as CFO for Rotary International.

She started her career in public accounting at Arthur Young and Co., and she holds Bachelor of Business Administration degree with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

"We are please to have Mary accept the role of senior vice president and chief financial officer," said Michael McDonald, Shopko Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Her expertise in corporate accounting planning and financial systems make Mary an asset to the Shopko team. She is certainly well qualified for her expanded role as a senior executive and member of the Operating Committee."

Meixelsperger's appointer was effective December 10, 2007.
