Fibertex invests EUR 18mn in state-of-the-art production lines

The Fibertex Group, Aalborg, Denmark, active in nonwovens since 1968, has decided to modernise the Technical Division's production facilities in Denmark and in the Czech Republic substantially by investing approx. EUR 18 million in two new state-of-the-art production lines.
One new airlaid line will be placed in the Czech Republic, whereas the other - a needlepunch high capacity line - will be placed in Aalborg, Denmark, to replace older production lines. Fibertex expects the new lines to be fully operational as from mid-2008.
The investment allows Fibertex Technical Division to increase its role in technical markets by targeting important segments such as Automotive with the the new airlaid line in the Czech Republic.
The investment also includes an upgrade of the existing slitter equipment to serve the growing do-it-yourself segment. Other markets being served by Fibertex's Technical Division include Automotive, Bedding, Building Industry, Concrete, Composites, Filtration, Flooring, Furniture and Geotextiles.
