Daqing Petrochem develops flat acrylic fiber for local users

On March 27, Daqing Petrochemical Company, a refinery under PetroChina Company Limited, delivered 1.5 million tons of Kunlun Brand series of flat fibers (7.77 dtex, 5.55 dtex, 3.33 dtex) to textile users in Zhejiang, Jiangsu Provinces.

Daqing Petrochemical Acrylic Plant produces high value-added flat fiber products on a 10,000-ton spinning production line, and has manufactured 1.5 million tons of fine products to complete orders.

Flat acrylic fiber is a new fiber, different from the conventional one. This fiber is basically used for processing of artificial fur, high-grade wool-carpet tapestries, and terry toys. Imitation fur fabrics made from flat acrylic fiber are glossy, have better firmness and resistance. The price range of this specific product is around 700 yuan higher than conventional acrylic fiber.

Earlier, the country had to import flat acrylic fiber to meet the demand of domestic textile enterprises. The development of this new product by Daqing Petrochemical Corporation has solved the urgent needs for local entrepreneurs.

This Kunlun Brand flat acrylic fiber can give stiff competition to the imported brands in terms of strength, gloss, and other major quality indicators.
