EQUATE Petrochemical inaugurates new EH&S building

EQUATE Petrochemical Company inaugurated its new Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Department building with the attendance of the Director-General of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf and EQUATE President and CEO Hamad Al-Terkait.
Other attendees included the Chairman and Managing-Director of Petrochemical Industries Company Maha Mulla Hussain, EQUATE Board of Directors Members, Colonel Khaled Al-Saqobi from Ministry of Interior's Civil Defense Department, Colonel Sami Al-Duwaikh from Interior Ministry's Vital Security Departtment, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Musaed Al-Sarheed from the Fire Brigade.
During the new building's celebration, EQUATE President and CEO Hamad Al-Terkait said this event was aimed at recognizing the support extended to EQUATE by PAI, the Fire Brigade, as well as Ministry of Interior's Civil Defense Department and Vital Security Department.
He noted that such support and the efforts of EQUATE's employees had led to achieving the highest standards in EH&S.
Al-Terkait added that the second half of 2008 and the beginning of 2009 will witness an increase in EQUATE's production capacity through future expansion projects.
He noted that EQUATE has received various awards, such as His Highness the Amir's Award for the Best Plant in the State of Kuwait and Kuwait Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Industrial and Energy Sector for the year 2007, hoping more awards were coming inthe future.
