Chemical maker Buckman Laboratories announces price increase. Effective October 15, 2005, Buckman Laboratories will implement a 10 percent company-wide price increase across all product lines.
Additional increases will be necessary on selected products. In addition, Buckman will institute a freight surcharge for those products with delivered pricing. Non-delivered pricing customers will not be impacted by this freight surcharge.
The price increase is due to unprecedented increases in raw material and energy costs in the last 24 months. The freight surcharge is primarily due to the significant rise in the cost of diesel fuel over the same period. These actions are necessary to ensure that Buckman continues to provide the level of service and stewardship that their customers have come to expect, while investing in the long-term growth of the markets they serve.
Buckman representatives are available to discuss how these changes will impact individual customers.
