MEG plant of PT Polychem to go for maintenance in August

PT Polychem Indonesia Tbk, has decided to shutdown one of its MEG plant, located in Merak, for the maintenance purposes in the month of August.
Mr Djunali, Manager of MEG Chemical plant informed Fibre2fashion, “The plant is going for the maintenance shutdown on August 10 and will remain closed for 3 weeks.”
“Basically the maintenance shutdown is for catalyst change. Catalyst is one of the requirements for the processing in MEG production.”
Presently, the production capacity of the MEG plant is 216,000 mt per year.
PT Polychem Indonesia Tbk is synthetic fiber manufacturer, primarily manufactures polyester chips, polyester filaments, engineering plastics, engineering resins, ethylene glycol, polyester staple fibers and petrochemicals. It is also engaged in knitting, weaving and textile manufacturing.
