Nux selects Nilit Aquarius yarn for seamless lingerie

Nilit, a global manufacturer and leader in the production of nylon 6.6, will provide its Nilit Aquarius moisture management 6.6 nylon to Nux, a new brand of seamless women's activewear that launched earlier this year. Nilit has been an innovator in the seamless industry, developing distinctive performance yarns that result in superior apparel products.
“We were pleased that Nux selected our Nilit Aquarius yarn for this beautiful, seamless performancewear line for women,” says Molly Kremidas, Nilit's U. S. marketing director. “Nilit Aquarius was designed to provide permanent, superior moisture management, especially in nylon seamless fabrications for activewear, bodywear, and intimate apparel.”
The Nux performancewear line includes women's seamless tanks, racers, camis, leggings, and shorts designed with a contemporary fit. The entire line is made in the USA. Nux is currently sold in upscale boutiques, athletic specialty stores and catalogs, tennis and golf pro shops, and college bookstores. Distribution expansion to sporting goods retailers and department stores is planned soon.
“We selected Nilit Aquarius yarn for Nux for several reasons,” said Lourdes Lozano, Nux's sales manager. “The moisture management mechanism is built into the yarn itself so we could avoid using chemical finishes which athletic purists may resist. Plus Nilit Aquarius delivers a luxurious hand which is so important to women and the yarns hold color well resulting in beautiful, vibrant garments.”
Nilit Aquarius represents a significant advancement in nylon 6.6 design that provides three tiers of moisture management performance:
• An effective, moisture management additive is permanently embedded throughout the fiber
• The fiber itself is constructed with a specially shaped cross section to maximize wicking surface area
• The yarn is designed to create micro-channels to transport moisture away from the body
