Ticona forms partnership with K.D. Feddersen in the North

Ticona has expanded its distribution partnership with K.D. Feddersen. Since this year the Hamburg-based distributor also offer Ticona's engineering polymers in Northern Europe and in Estonia.

The two companies have already been working together successfully in Germany and France for a long time. K.D. Feddersen's recent takeover of Materialdepån Norden of Anderstorp, Sweden serves as the basis for the expanded cooperation.

“K.D. Feddersen's comprehensive know-how relative to polymers, machines and processing technology now covers Northern Europe,” says Gunther Reitzel, Sales and Distribution Manager at Ticona.

“These are ideal conditions for us to achieve effective market penetration in the region. Moreover, we already have a close relationship built on many yearsof reliable collaboration, which we will now expand to the markets of Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.

”And the excellent contact that Materialdepån Norden employees maintain with the processors and suppliers in the region will contribute in no small measure to success.

“The takeover of the Swedish company was an important step in our expansion strategy,” explains Karlheinz Schuster, General Manager of K.D. Feddersen.

“This enables us to clear the path to new customers for partners such as Ticona. And those new customers benefit, in turn, from an outstanding portfolio of high-performance polymers and our comprehensive, personal on-site support.

K.D. Feddersen offers the extensive assortment of Ticona plastics, with nine engineering polymers and more than 400 modified grades:

- Celanex: thermoplastic polyester (PBT)

- Celstran, Compel: long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT)

- Fortron: polyphenylene sulfide (PPS)

- GUR: ultra-high molecular polyethylen (UHMW-PE)

- Hostaform, Celcon: polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM)

- Impet: thermoplastic polyester (PET)

- Riteflex: thermoplastic polyester elastomers(TPC-ET)

- Vandar: thermoplastic polyester blends

- Vectra: liquid crystalline polymers (LCP).
