Aura Herbal wear is an entrepreneurial venture by Mr. Arun Baid, who has developed the process of natural dyeing of textile articles using medicinally rich herbs. He does not make the use of chemicals at any stage of processing.

The process developed by the innovator Arun Baid, aided by Sonal Baid, is not only entirely eco-friendly but also offers recycling benefits with solid as well as liquid wastes being used as manure.

During the process, herbs with immense medicinal value are used directly with the fabric, keeping the medicinal value of the herbs alive to a great extent. This innovation is a novel idea for processing textiles using herbs and natural ingredients.

Aura Herbal Wear is also an incubatee of Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) and has set a target of achieving 100 per cent through capacity expansion.

Present in the niche market of organic textiles, Aura Herbal Wear designs, manufactures and markets a herbal dyed, organic clothing line that it markets wholesale into international markets of USA, Canada, France, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Maldives, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka. although we are diversifying our self to other markets also like Australia , Japan and UAE.

“Our goal is simple yet substantial— we want to show the world that fashion need not pollute the environment with chemical processing and synthetic dyes. We also believe that style need not be compromised for eco-friendliness and ethical choices. We are expanding our capacities and are growing at 100 per cent every year.

We are financing our growth plan through venture capital, loans, personal investment & reinvesting profits in the business. We intend to achieve a target of Rs 4 crore for current financial year and later hit the capital market by 2012,” said Arun Baid, co-founder of the company, refusing to divulge details of investment plans.

Talking about the potential of the segment, Baid said, “Currently organic cotton products use synthetic chemicals for dyeing, which can be converted in the natural herbal dyeing process whereby the product meet the standards of eco-friendly products.

Moreover, European countries have been promoting organic textiles and are working towards enforcing a law wherein 11 per cent of all textile sales should be from organic textiles.” we are also planning very soon working on the project for availing “ CARBON CREDIT”.

we have recently also developed “organic recycle textile paper bags” which are made from stitching left over organic and herbal dyed fabrics which is then printed hrbally we are very much hoping for these product to get success as it is a very good answer against the mass use of plastic bags pollution.
