Propex to increase prices of furnishing solutions business unit

The Furnishing Solutions Business Unit of Propex Operating Company, LLC has announced a 7% price increase for all products sold into the North American carpet, automotive, turf, furniture and bedding industries, effective April 1, 2010. This upward adjustment is in addition to the price increases announced in February.

This increase is primarily driven by the continued, upward trend in key raw materials, notably polypropylene resin. Over the past twelve months, the cost of polypropylene resin has doubled.
