Canesis Scientists receives awards for excellence in wool science

Wool, textiles and other fibre industries research firm Canesis Network Ltd's scientists win awards at international conference.
Canesis Network Scientists have scooped three of the five international awards on offer at the International Wool Research Conference in the United Kingdom.
The Canesis Network scientists were acknowledged for their excellence in wool and fundamental research.
Lincoln based Canesis evolved from the Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand (WRONZ) and Wools of New Zealand. It has an international reputation as a world-class provider of textile technology, research and development services. Canesis is 75 percent owned by Wool Equities Ltd, a publicly listed innovation company and 25 percent by Wool Research, a New Zealand wool industry incorporated society.
Intended to encourage creative and pioneering research in wool science four awards are granted each year by the largest wool research institute in Europe – Deutsches Wollforschungsinstitut (DWI), and Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI).
