Garden Silk Mills net sales rise by 49.56%

Garden Silk Mills declared a rise of 49.56 percent to Rs 8,453.27 million for the quarter ending June 2010, in its net sales. More so, the total income the quarter rose to 49.60 percent to Rs 8,465.19 million, as compared to the same period last year.
However, the firm also witnessed a huge drop in its standalone net profit for the quarter under consideration. Profits of the firm fell by 69.93 percent to Rs 65.86 million from Rs 219.04 million, which was recorded in the corresponding period, last year.
More over, Garden Silk Mills also witnessed earnings of Rs 1.72 per share during the same quarter, recording 69.93 percent fall over the same period, last year.
