Delta & Pine Land promotes Rick Greene to SVP post

Leading cotton planting seed producer & marketer Delta and Pine Land Company announced a plan to gain synergies in its international and corporate development efforts through the creation of a Senior Vice President (SVP) position with responsibility for these areas.
Rick Greene, previously Vice President of Finance and Treasurer, will assume this role immediately and will retain responsibility for accounting and finance until a replacement is named.
"The Company's business has been evolving for the past several years and growth strategy places a great emphasis on the international business and the development and commercialization of new technologies. Rick has a keen understanding of these areas, which are crucial to reaching mid-term and long-term goals," said Tom Jagodinski, D&PL President and CEO.
"He has worked with international business since joining the company in 1997, and later headed business development efforts before taking a primary role in accounting and finance. This background gives him unique insight to bring a dedicated focus to our growth and expansion initiatives."
Greene joins the core leadership team comprised of Jagodinski and Randy Dismuke, Senior Vice President of the U.S. business.
Greene commented, "Company have made great strides in positioning international business and technology platforms for future growth. This new position will give me the ability to focus my efforts on implementation of strategies in these areas and work with the Company's management team to further increase the value bring customers and shareholders."
