Specialty home furnishings, mattress stores provider Denver Mattress Company and WB2 will help make Colorado a warmer place this Holiday Season for those in need. The 4th annual "Share the Warmth," winter coat and apparel drive collected over 1500 coats for Coloradoans.
Coat donations were collected at 16 Colorado Denver Mattress Company's stores for three weeks. A $20 off Dr. Choice Mattress coupon was given to those who donated.
All coats and winter apparel were forwarded to Energy Outreach Colorado to be distributed by the following charitable agencies to help those in need. These agencies included ACS Community LIFT, Castro Elementary School, Colorado Health Network, Catholic Charities, Inter-Faith Community Services, St.incent De Paul Society, Jeffco Action Center, The Salvation Army Denver, and the Broadway Assistance Center.
Jennie Miller, Associate Deputy Director from Energy Outreach Colorado, elaborates on the positive effects of the campaign. "Thanks to many Coloradoans, those who needed winter coats will now be able to keep warm this winter. At Energy Outreach Colorado are grateful to the generosity of others that enables us to distribute the coats to those who need them through partner agencies."
