Uzbekistan-China meeting discusses textile cooperation

A meeting of the Uzbek-Chinese business forum on cooperation in the textile industry was organised in Tashkent on August 15 to establish cooperation between companies from both sides. A Chinese delegation with 33 representatives was in Uzbekistan beginning August 10 to explore the investment potential in Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Samarkand and Syrdarya regions.
The Chinese delegation included representatives from the China Council for Advancement of International Trade, the China National Clothing Association, the China Non-Woven Fabric and Industrial Textile Industry Association, the China Cotton Textile Association, the China Knitting Industry Association, Chinese Textile Information Centre, and 19 companies from Shanghai, Qingdao, and Nanyang Province, according to an Uzbek newspaper report.
The delegation visited the industrial zone Peng Sheng. (DS)
