Chasing Fireflies adopts Gerber's YuniquePLM

Gerber Technology, the world leader in integrated software and automation solutions for the apparel and industrial markets, has announced that Chasing Fireflies, a leading childrenswear and family lifestyle brand, has deployed the cloud-based version of YuniquePLM.

Chasing Fireflies has been using YuniquePLM to manage product development and information for the creation of its proprietary children's costumes and apparel. Previously, Excel was used to manage styles, and spreadsheets were conveyed to manufacturing partners for sample and final production. With YuniquePLM, techpacks are sent to the manufacturer with everything they need to know, through the simple press of a button.

YuniquePLM was selected for its ability to maintain consistent data integrity throughout the product management lifecycle; individuals are notified when changes are made, and the entire wealth of specification files can be found in one location. Designers at Chasing Fireflies manage sketches with the YuniquePLM design suite, allowing users to create, access, and modify styles, colour palettes, images, and more directly to PLM without ever leaving Adobe Illustrator, according to a press release.

Bill Wenzel, business solutions manager at Chasing Fireflies said, “We look forward to expanding our use of YuniquePLM through its cloud installation. YuniquePLM in The Cloud provides all the business benefits of YuniquePLM, but with the added infrastructure benefits of cloud technology. Our suppliers will be able to access YuniquePLM for development collaboration and all the information they need, and our merchandising, development and sourcing teams can access information wherever they are.”
