Lululemon has won the "Best Retail RFID Implementation" award of the 11th annual RFID Journal Awards 2017. The award honours the retailer that demonstrates the best use of RFID technology to improve its store or supply chain operations. Lululemon has rolled out Tyco's TrueVUE RFID inventory visibility solution to all North American stores.

The award was presented at the RFID Journal LIVE! 2017 Conference and Exhibition.

Lululemon has been recognised for using RFID technology to drive inventory accuracy and visibility to enhance their guest experience and create easy transactions for today's omni-channel shoppers.

Lululemon sees inventory accuracy as foundational to their primary goal, delivering the optimum guest experience with their brand. By implementing an RFID solution, they leverage the keen insight only RFID technology can provide for real-time, accurate inventory visibility and the ability to easily locate product for all their guests. Lululemon also recognises that RFID helps to streamline store operational processes.

Lululemon has rolled out Tyco's TrueVUE RFID inventory visibility solution to all 300 North American stores. They rely on it to accurately report real-time inventory on-hand by location to their in-store educators and guests, as well as their online shoppers. This visibility is available for every item in the product assortment at any given time. Making merchandise available anytime, anywhere, is essential to elevating Lululemon's guest experience and fuels the "buy online, pick up in store" initiative guests appreciate.

"Leveraging smart technology, such as RFID, is critical to success in the age of retail transformation. It's an honour to work with an innovative retailer like Lululemon that embraces this notion to create a seamless, personalised shopping experience for their valued guests in today's connected always-on, always-open world of unified commerce. The recognition by RFID Journal is well deserved," said Tony D'Onofrio, chief customer officer of Tyco Retail Solutions. (SV)
