TradeCard Inc., the supply chain collaboration platform used by more than 7,800 retailers, brands, manufacturers and service providers, has appointed Frank Bakker to Vice President of Sales for Europe to help retailers and brands connect their supply networks in the cloud to improve visibility and reduce costs.

"The European market is a key strategic growth path for TradeCard," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard, Inc. "Frank will play a key role in our success conveying the benefits of connecting your entire supply network in the cloud to improve visibility, agility and margins."

TradeCard delivers supply chain collaboration in the cloud, enabling supply networks to connect, transact and profit while eliminating expensive upfront investments in hardware, software and trading partner activation.

"Retailers and brands require better flexibility and transparency to meet customer demand," said Joseph Rodgers, Senior Vice President of Sales at TradeCard, Inc. "Adding Frank to our team is an essential part of our strategy to continue the growth of the TradeCard Platform globally. His deep experience working with retailers, consumer goods and fashion companies will enable TradeCard to deliver agility and visibility to European supply chains to help them be more demand driven."

TradeCard users in Europe include retailers and brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Cortefiel, DIM Brands Apparel (DBA), Levi Strauss & Co and O'Neill Europe.

"The combination of sourcing, logistics and finance integrated on a single platform is fascinating," said Bakker. "The TradeCard network provides a significant opportunity for retailers and brands to communicate and collaborate with their entire community of trading partners in an agile environment. I look forward to expanding TradeCard's footprint while delivering the promise of visibility into the physical and financial supply chain to customers through process automation and unique services available on the platform."

Bakker is based in France. He brings more than 20 years of supply chain expertise to TradeCard. He previously served in strategic business development roles at i2 Technologies, Ariba and Richter Systems where he worked with clients such as Adidas, Ahold, Macintosh Retail Group, Unilever, SaraLee and Tesco to enable demand-driven supply chain strategies.

Document and workflow efficiencies through TradeCard span multiple trading partners within a supply network to generate time and cost savings for buyers, suppliers and service providers around the world. Financial services embedded into the platform lower trade financing costs and reduce credit related risk.

Hosted technology and global support delivered by TradeCard provide a low cost to transact. Suppliers are quickly on-boarded by TradeCard's global support team. TradeCard's global network provides the necessary infrastructure to quickly shift trading partners or services from region to region as economic conditions change.
