CognitiveDATA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Merkle, specializing in innovative customer database solutions for recognizing, valuing, and targeting customers, announced that Cuddledown, America's premier source for fine home fashions, has selected IntelliBASE as its customer relationship marketing (CRM) platform.

CognitiveDATA's IntelliBASE is a configurable marketing solution designed specifically for multi-channel merchants that provides instant visibility to customer value and trends, offers insight into marketing campaign performance across multiple channels, and delivers integrated campaign creation and reporting.

Cuddledown chose IntelliBASE due to its functional yet flexible platform. The company is able to engage customers and optimize customer relationships across multiple direct marketing media, including direct mail, website sales, and interactive promotions. CognitiveDATA hosts and maintains the solution, allowing Cuddledown to focus on growing its business without dedicating technical infrastructure, staff or other resources.

Cuddledown VP Marketing, Deb Dyer, says, “Cuddledown is pleased to partner with CognitiveDATA. We feel their robust database and knowledgeable team will provide us with a more detailed understanding of our customers' multi-channel purchasing behaviors. With a holistic view of our marketing campaign performance for catalog, web and wholesale, we plan to mail smarter and test frequently.”

“Cuddledown is a very sophisticated merchant vertical marketer and we are delighted they have chosen our marketing database platform to deliver a more insightful view of their direct marketing activities,” said Rod Ford, CEO of CognitiveDATA. “With over 40 committed marketing database installs, the market is telling us that our new innovation is well designed to deliver on the promise of improving customer insight, resulting in improved marketing results. Our solution allows direct marketers to be confident in the supreme accuracy of their data, and to track customer activity, channel and campaign performance with point and click capability.”

Cuddledown is a 38-year old family owned and operated company that produces and sells the finest in home fashions, or rather—everything cozy. Offering everything from bedding, sleepwear, towels, and home décor, Cuddledown is known for its superior products and devotion to great customer service.

Founded in 2001, CognitiveDATA is a marketing technology company recognized as a leader in new innovation that improve the accuracy, targeting, and delivery of customer marketing programs. Merchant marketers of all sizes benefit from CognitiveDATA's unique approach to delivering customer insight and delivering marketing promotions.

The company has been recognized by both Inc. magazine and the Deloitte Fast 500 for its impressive growth, and its data management technology is an NCDM award winner. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Merkle and is headquartered in Little Rock, with offices in Baltimore, New York, Minneapolis, and San Rafael, California.

Merkle, a customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm, is the nation's largest privately-held agency. For more than 20 years, Fortune 1000 companies and leading nonprofit organizations have partnered with Merkle to maximize the value of their customer portfolios.
