The Board of 3Q Holdings Limited announced that it recently signed an agreement for Island Pacific Planning licenses and services with Joules Clothing, a United Kingdom retailer with over 50 locations that designs upbeat, colourful clothing for women and children who love the outdoors and live life to the full.

Island Pacific Planning is the cornerstone of Island Pacific's Assortment Management solution and consists of Merchandise Planning (incorporating Price Points and Category Mix Analysis and Key Item Planning), Store Planning (incorporating Store Clustering and Grading) and Assortment Planning.

The Island Pacific Planning solution will be interfaced to Joule's existing systems and will allow Joules to efficiently and accurately plan across all levels of their multichannel business.

The Island Pacific solution will be used across all channels, including retail, web, mail order, international and wholesale. It will provide them with powerful decision support tools and strong forecasting and planning capabilities to profitably achieve their goals.

“Joules has seen significant growth over the past few years and has substantial global expansion plans for the next three to four years. Not only is our solution robust, efficient and simple to use, but it will allow Joules to be more reactive to meet the demands of their ever changing and expanding business. We look forward to working with Joules over the coming months and years to improve planning processes, business intelligence, accuracy and efficiency.” said Mike Dotson, Vice President of Global Sales.

Nick Wyld, Head of IT at Joules, commented: “We believe it will provide the Buying and Merchandising teams with an effective set of tools that will support the growth of the business through more efficient and timely planning, monitoring and forecasting and significantly reduce manual input. The Planning solution will not only remove the manual processes, but it should also help to minimise issues related to human error. It will lead to better quality decisions and allow Joules to do what they do now but better.”

“Born in the British countryside and crafted with true British eccentricity”

Following in his father's footsteps, Tom Joule began selling country clothing and accessories at equestrian events and country shows across the UK and Europe in the late 1980's. Today Joules are more proud of their heritage than ever and can be found at over 300 shows a year alongside over 50+ locations nationwide as well as having a rapidly expanding wholesale and international presence.

Island Pacific is a global leader in retail merchandising and store operations software solutions. For 30 years, Island Pacific has been a thought leader in retail software solutions, and has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality, high-reliability software to the retail industry.
