Moosejaw adopts CrossView handheld mobile PoS solution

CrossView Inc., a cross-channel commerce solution and retail technology provider, announced outdoor adventure apparel and gear retailer Moosejaw has completed the implementation of CrossView's new handheld Mobile Point of Sale solution in all of its stores throughout the Midwest.

“This is the next logical step in removing barriers between our customers and sales staff,” said Eoin Comerford, senior vice president, Marketing and Technology, Moosejaw. “Creating that close connection with customers online and in stores is a big part of our brand, and the CrossView Mobile POS plays to that strength.”

CrossView's Mobile POS is based on the Apple iPod Touch and delivers functionality traditionally associated with freestanding point of sale systems. The Apple iPod Touch hardware is outfitted with a Linea Pro cradle containing a magnetic stripe reader and barcode scanner.

The device is integrated into the retailer's CrossView Cross-Channel Commerce platform, deployed in 2008 to unify call centers, point of sale and online commerce on a single platform with a single view of products, pricing, inventory, marketing, promotions and customers. Other key business benefits include:

• Sales associates empowered to better serve customers anywhere in the store
• Increased in-store conversion as associates wield greater influence along the path to purchase
• Expanded POS capacity without sacrificing valuable floor space
• Positive brand experience engendering greater customer loyalty
• Improved visibility across all sales channels, enabling superior customer service
• High sales and customer satisfaction through shortened checkout lines

“The value is very clear – better service, improved visibility, empowered sales associates, stronger revenue streams,” said Mark Fodor, CEO, CrossView, Inc.

Moosejaw also plans to outfit new stores with the handheld technology as it expands into more markets over the next 12 months.

CrossView is a premier provider of cross-channel commerce solutions and services that enable a smarter, more personalized shopping experience. Our software is used by leading brands to unify the Web, stores, call centers, mobile devices, and other channels on a single, flexible platform.

Moosejaw we sell the best outdoor gear and apparel in the world and have the most fun possible while doing it. Our goal is to engage customers with our unique brand voice and a little youthful enthusiasm.
