Epicor takes No. 3 spot in LeaderBoard top 20 ranking

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, announced it has been recognized as a top performing retail technology vendor -- for both tier one retailers and midsize retailers -- via its top rankings in the RIS News' prestigious LeaderBoard Report for 2011.

Epicor was rated No. 3 overall on the "Big Board" Software LeaderBoard Top 20, identified by RIS as the listing of retail technology "Super Achievers." Additionally, Epicor was rated No. 3 in the Leaders in Broad Suites ranking, and No. 3 in the Leaders in Large Vendors ranking.

Epicor posted impressive results landing the company within the top 10 slots in several categories related to support for Tier One retailers and to Customer Satisfaction: Leaders in Return on Investment, Leaders in Ease of Installation/ Integration, Leaders in Administration/Maintenance, Leaders in Quality of Support, Leaders in Quality of Service, Leaders in Recommendation Status, Large Vendor Customer Satisfaction Leaders, Customer Satisfaction Leaders by Apparel Retailers, and Customer Satisfaction Leaders by Large Retailers.

Only two vendors out of the 99 retail technology software vendors scored high marks as Top Vendors for Tier One Retailers and Top Vendors for Midsized Retailers. Epicor was ranked No. 3 for both the Tier One and Midsized Retailer rankings.

The LeaderBoard report also recognized Epicor's leadership in Apparel/Footwear and Specialty Retailing sectors. Epicor was ranked No. 2 in the Leaders in Apparel/Footwear ranking and 7th in the Leaders in Specialty Retailing ranking.

The prestigious annual survey published by RIS News ranks the top technology software vendors in areas such as customer satisfaction, revenue, retail concentration, technology innovation, and product reliability. Final rankings are determined by vendor forms and retailer surveys. Surveys are managed by a third-party research firm to ensure quality of results.

"Vendors that appear on the Top 20 List in the 2011 RIS Software LeaderBoard are the heavyweights in retail technology," said RIS editor-in-chief, Joe Skorupa, in his Retail Insight blog post. "While in prior years both Epicor and Activant had received high rankings, the combination of the Epicor and Activant retail operations contributed greatly to boost Epicor's overall rankings in this year's survey."
