Charming Shoppes picks Manhattan SCOPE portfolio

Global supply chain optimization provider, Manhattan Associates Inc announced that Charming Shoppes Inc, a leading retailer specializing in women's plus-size apparel, has selected solutions from the Manhattan SCOPE supply chain portfolio to optimize its distribution, transportation and distributed order processes in its Greencastle, Indiana distribution center.

Headquartered in Bensalem, Pa., Charming Shoppes is parent company to Lane Bryant, Cacique, Fashion Bug and Catherines Plus Sizes. Apparel is sold in nearly 1,900 retail stores nationwide, in addition to online fashion websites.

“Manhattan Associates was the clear choice for Charming Shoppes as we looked for a strategic partner to help us improve supply chain efficiencies,” said Bryan Eshelman, executive vice president and chief supply chain officer, Charming Shoppes.

“Manhattan's Warehouse Management System will be the focal point of the upgrade project in our distribution center, after which we will look to Manhattan to assist us in enabling other multi-channel fulfillment strategies. The Manhattan SCOPE suite of applications is the most complete set of supply chain solutions available for multi-channel retailers.”

Charming Shoppes selected Manhattan's Warehouse Management, Slotting Optimization and Labor Management solutions from the Distribution Management suite of the Manhattan SCOPE portfolio, along with the complete Transportation Lifecycle Management suite of solutions. In addition, the retailer intends to ultimately implement Manhattan's Distributed Order Management solution to optimize its multi-channel processes.

Charming Shoppes Inc operates nearly 1,900 retail stores in 48 states under the names LANE BRYANT, CACIQUE, LANE BRYANT OUTLET, FASHION BUG, FASHION BUG PLUS and CATHERINES PLUS SIZES.
