Running Bare picks Solutionists as new ecommerce platform

Leading Australian womenswear sports label, Running Bare, have partnered with ecommerce specialists Solutionists to launch a brand new ecommerce platform for their three brands – Running Bare, Wahine and Rival Swimwear. Running Bare chose to partner with Solutionists as they were ready to take their existing ecommerce platform to the next level. For Running Bare, next level functionality included full POS integration, a “three brands one site” solution, and best practise merchandising capabilities.

The website is fully integrated with Running Bare’s Point of Sale system dolFIN, facilitating an automated two way flow of customer, product, stock, pricing, gift voucher and order information. This integration delivers a true multi-channel experience, as customers have a single account across all stores, and can access past orders and redeem gift vouchers regardless of whether they are shopping in store or online.

The three brand sites appear completely standalone with unique design, content, URLs and products - but shoppers can jump from brand to brand using tabs and fill a single cart with products from all three stores. Running Bare can manage all content within a single CMS, increasing efficiencies for handling three websites. There is also the option to share content and products across all three branded sites if needed, eliminating the need to duplicate data.

Many retailers face challenges involving the treatment of SKUs and colour ways versus products. Solutionists developed an interface for Running Bare which allowed them to control how a product’s colour ways display on the category page. Running Bare can handle their SKUs like separate products on this page, choosing which individual colour ways display and where. The Running Bare sites also contain Solutionists’ Shop the Look and Magalogue modules – effectively taking Running Bare’s print catalogues online. Shop the Look allows customers to purchase an entire merchandised outfit in a single click, where Magalogue allows users to browse the catalogue, and click on individual items in an image to purchase.

The Running Bare website has been an immediate success with sales coming through as soon as the site launched, and nothing but positive feedback from Facebook fans.

Born in 1983 in Sydney, Australia, Running Bare has always been the brand that specialises in meeting every woman’s sports, active & leisure wear needs.  Running Bare is also home of fashion swimwear label Wahine, and performance swimwear label Rival.

Solutionists is a leading Australasian ecommerce provider - specialising in integrated online fashion retailing solutions. They deliver world-class e-retail solutions based on best practise standards, which allow their clients to compete at an international level.
