NGC announced that Mark Burstein, president of sales, marketing and R&D for NGC, was named a winner of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 2013 "Pros to Know" awards. Now in its 13th year, the annual Pros to Know awards recognize supply chain solution providers and practitioners who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in meeting industry challenges.

Honoring the supply chain’s best and brightest, Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know” include professionals proactively working to drive improvements in a number of categories—including manufacturing and production output; procurement; logistics; risk mitigation strategies; sourcing; financial operations; packaging and distribution; transportation; and much more. The publication’s editorial selection committee reviewed close to 400 entries before selecting this year's winners.

Burstein served as the president of a multi-national manufacturing company prior to joining NGC, which gives him a unique perspective in understanding customer requirements for NGC's PLM and supply chain solutions.  Under Burstein's leadership, NGC has helped brands and retailers implement solutions to manage their supply chain risk, streamline management and communication with global suppliers, develop agile sourcing strategies, improve raw materials management, and more.

"I'm honored to receive this recognition, which is a reflection of the hard work, professionalism and dedication of our entire NGC team," said Mark Burstein, president of sales, marketing and R&D, NGC. "Today's supply chains are extremely complex, and NGC's supply chain software is helping companies not only improve supply chain agility and responsiveness, but also address critical areas such as social and regulatory compliance, as well as vendor compliance and factory safety."
