TXT Maple Lake, a leading provider of integrated and collaborative planning solutions, is increasing its presence in North America. Following the acquisition of Toronto Headquartered retail planning specialist Maple Lake in September 2012, TXT Maple Lake has now appointed two new senior executives to help expand activities in the region: Curtis Popovich joins TXT as Sales Director for North America; while Shanti Dev will be in charge of Business Development.

TXT Maple Lake already works with a number of leading retailers and apparel brands in North America, including Guess, Marc Jacobs and LS Travel Retail and, since merging Maple Lake into the business, serves clients such as Aeropostale, Columbia and Levi’s Strauss & Co.

“Under the leadership of Curtis and Shanti we now have a very strong sales and marketing team in North America who can successfully pursue the great opportunity that this region represents for TXT Maple Lake,” said Simone Pozzi, VP Sales & Marketing at TXT.

“We have a very innovative Integrated Retail Planning solution that perfectly suits the sophisticated retail planning requirements of the North American market. We have also aligned a strong consulting team that together with our partners can deliver large scale projects.”

TXT chairman, Alvise Braga Illa, speaking at its annual Thinking Retail! conference in London last month, confirmed the importance of the North American market for the strategic plans of TXT “We have been very successful in Europe so far with a comprehensive proposition of advanced retail planning functionality, state of the art technology, and strong business process expertise. Now we are executing in all dimensions: commercial, delivery and support to bring this proposition to North America.”

Curtis Popovich, based in TXT’s Canadian Toronto office, was until recently at Demandware, having previously held sales leadership positions at Quantum Retail, Oracle Retail and Sterling Commerce. Curtis will lead the sales process in North America and bring his sales leadership experience with key accounts.

Shanti Dev, based in San Francisco, previously ran his own company in the Financial Services Sector after having held a number of senior management positions at i2 Technologies (now part of JDA). Shanti will lead business development including generating new business and establishing alliances with consulting partners in North America.
