Oeko-Tex brands web directory with certification

Mar '06
Since February 2006, the International Oeko-Tex Association has, in addition to the shopping guide for companies in the textile and clothing industry, offered a directory of brand name products with Oeko-Tex certification on its website, aimed at end users and all opinion leaders such as journalists or media representatives.

The new online directory came about as a result of suggestions from numerous consumers and journalists interested in purchasing or reporting on products which are safe to health, but who often do not know whether brands with which they are familiar are certified in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

The search criteria categories currently available are “primary products” and “end products”. Within these, visitors to the website can also select other individual product groups such as “articles for babies”, “sportswear and functional garments”, “daywear and nightwear”, “bed linen” and many more.

The search results are displayed in a clear table, sorted by brand name, brand logo, product group, country as well as manufacturer and company logo, including a direct link to the relevant company. The individual list of results can also be conveniently downloaded to your own computer as a pdf file.

Companies with Oeko-Tex certification who would also like to have their brands registered in the new web directory free of charge should send their documents to Jutta Knels, head of the German Oeko-Tex Certification Centre.
