Grupo Cortefiel, a leading European retailer, has selected Centric Software, Inc., to provide its product lifecycle management (PLM) solution.

The multi-brand, multi-category Madrid-based company made a strategic selection of the comprehensive Centric 8 PLM solution, and will roll it out across all brands and product categories.

Grupo Cortefiel offers the Springfield, Cortefiel, women’secret and Pedro el Hierro brands in product categories including women’s wear, men’s wear, accessories, lingerie and footwear. Grupo Cortefiel will deploy the Centric PLM suite to users in its costing, design, product development and product management departments.

“The greater functionality and access that Centric 8 affords will support Grupo Cortefiel’s multi-brand growth strategy and position as one of the strongest leaders in the European fashion market,” says Enrique Martin Mendez, CIO of the company.

Grupo Cortefiel chose Centric as its PLM provider because of Centric’s focus on the fashion industry and understanding of the product development needs of fast-growth companies. The retailer appreciated Centric’s key customer references, and leading industry technology and team.

Grupo Cortefiel also valued Centric’s easily configured “out-of-the-box” solution and Agile Deployment SM implementation methodology. By embedding industry business best practices and data models into the core PLM system, Centric provides a highly configurable solution that requires no programming customization. Agile Deployment allows much faster and easier implementations than are possible with other PLM systems.

“Implementing a PLM solution across all brands will enable Grupo Cortefiel to make more informed decisions with improved execution and visibility across all brands and categories,” says Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric. Centric 8 PLM will provide Grupo Cortefiel’s six product teams relief from low-value tasks while reducing the risk of errors, he adds.”This will allow the company to reduce lead times and costs, and improve quality and overall process efficiency.”

“Centric is proud to become the PLM partner for Grupo Cortefiel,” says Groves. “We look forward to working with this leader in the influential European fashion industry as it pursues its multi-brand growth strategy.”
