The TXT Fashion Best Practice Event, held the 16th of October, has attracted C-levels, heads of Merchandising, Retail, Supply Chain and IT from some of the most prominent Fashion & Retail companies at an international scale.

Focus of the event was the testimonials from TXT’s customers Marc Cain, world-renowned premium brand in the womenswear sector - which hosted the Event at their headquarters in Bodelshausen - and Meyer & Meyer, specialist in Fashion logistics.

Mr. Matthias Behr, Managing Director Purchase & Production at Marc Cain together with Mr. Piet Hilger, Head of Production Planning, described their experience in implementing TXT’s supply chain planning & execution and supplier relationship management solution, highlighting the importance of change management along the process.

Mr. Lars Rechtien, Head of Operational Key Account Management and Mr. Gunnar Stüber, Head of Business Process Organization at Meyer & Meyer, illustrated how the organization “moves the Fashion industry from sheep to shop” and how TXT’s technology supports from a planning stand point.

TXT representatives explored the challenges of today’s Fashion & Retail scenarios, including the opportunities raised by multi-channel, the importance of visibility all across the value chain, as well as the benefits an integrated planning approach can bring.

Holger Klappstein, Managing Director at TXT Germany commented “The Fashion industry never stands still and seminars of this kind are ideal venues in order to explore new trends, share best practices and actionable solutions. We want to thank our customers for bringing their experience to the Event; they are recognized by the Fashion community as best in class and I am extremely proud of what we have achieved so far with them”.

The seminar offered attendees the unique opportunity of visiting Marc Cain’s plant and to networking with peers.

The event follows the success of the Retail and PLM seminar held in July in Paris with participation of Kenzo, and TXT’s Thinking Retail Event held in March in London, which featured testimonials from TXT’s customers Aeropostale, Desigual, Jacques Vert and Louis Vuitton Malletier.
