GiftLogic POS tool offers smooth migration from old system

Recognizing that retailers face significant challenges when switching to an advanced point of sale system, GiftLogic POS now includes a handy import tool. Its import utility allows new GiftLogic users to quickly, easily, and accurately migrate inventory items from their old system to GiftLogic.

According to a spokesperson from GiftLogic, “businesses no longer have to fear or postpone moving to an advanced POS system. GiftLogic empowers owners to simplify the switch with an easy import process."

The spokesperson explained that the import utility eliminates the need to manually enter inventory data. "Not only is manual data entry tedious and time-consuming, it's also prone to errors," they said. "Typos and miskeyed prices could prove to be both embarrassing and potentially costly mistakes."

The import utility is built-into GiftLogic. Designed with ease-of-use and compatibility in mind, it can import data from universal tab and comma delimited formats.

"The thought of having to enter hundreds, if not thousands, of items into inventory by hand is a major obstacle to switching to an advanced point of sale system such as GiftLogic," said the GiftLogic spokesperson.

"Fortunately, GiftLogic puts those fears to rest. Retailers no longer need to let inventory-related data entry concerns hold them back. With GiftLogic's enhanced import utility, importing thousands of items takes mere minutes. Retailers can rest assured knowing that their newly imported inventory data is identical to the original data from their old system. We make the switch painless."

About GiftLogic
GiftLogic POS is an advanced point of sale system developed for retailers who want access to the same point of sale tools their big chain competitors use. GiftLogic includes a rich feature set such as barcode scanning, inventory management, import and export tools, purchasing and receiving, sales and promotions, event tracking, reports, and much more.

Optional modules that add even more features allow retailers to build out GiftLogic to best meet their specific needs and service goals. These built-in and optional features allow "Main Street" merchants to optimize the customer checkout experience, streamline operations, and offer more sophisticated shopping services (such as gift cards and layaway) on par with their big box competitors.
