Attune Consulting, a premier global solutions provider to the fashion and lifestyle industries, announced its collaboration with SAP on plans to design and develop a new solution to better meet the challenges faced by apparel, footwear, and accessory companies. It is intended that the new solution will leverage the power of the SAP HANA platform.

Fashion wholesalers and manufacturers who run retail stores and have direct-to-consumer (D2C) web channels face a number of supply chain challenges – including the management and distribution of inventory globally – that can impede their ability to stay ahead of changing styles and market demand.

SAP’s new vertical solution intends to help fashion brands address these challenges and transform their businesses for the omni channel. Attune’s established expertise across the fashion and lifestyle industry will support the development.

“We look forward to building upon our existing partnership with SAP to collaborate and co-develop a new vertical industry solution that will empower fashion brands to become omnichannel retailers,” said Vajira De Silva, CEO of attune.

“SAP is a valued partner, and we will continue to contribute attune’s expertise in the fashion and lifestyle industries to meet emerging customer requirements across people, processes, and technology.”

In addition to collaborating with SAP on the design and development of the new solution, attune will be working with SAP on the development of a tool that will allow customers to migrate from the SAP Apparel and Footwear application to the new solution.

Attune is closely involved in SAP’s migration development activities, and is providing a methodology and approach for customer migrations, including Fit and Gap Analysis (FGA) and change management initiatives. attune will also be providing guidance throughout product testing cycles and creating training materials.

Attune works with many of the world’s most recognized fashion and lifestyle brands to deploy technology and service offerings that address all areas of their operations – from product design through manufacturing to the retail store.

As a trusted advisor with deep expertise in the SAP Apparel and Footwear application and retail best practices, attune helps fashion brands quickly and cost-effectively deploy tailored solutions that meet their unique business requirements.

Attune continues to drive innovation and expand its worldwide presence to meet customer demand across all areas of the fashion and lifestyle value chain.

In October 2013, attune introduced attune for Retail (a4R), a retail-specific enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution tailored to fashion and lifestyle businesses, and attune Mobile Store, a mobile POS solution designed to integrate with any retail enterprise system, among them the SAP system.
