Scotch & Soda, a Dutch fashion company based in Amsterdam, US, that designs and manufactures menswear and womenswear is set to install the Centric 8 Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software by Centric Software Inc.

“Centric 8 will help to expand the product range, streamline the product development process, increase productivity, and improve collaboration within and between internal and external teams,” the head of sourcing at Scotch & Soda Duco Habbema said in a statement.

“Centric Software Inc provides a solution that allows the design staff to remain creative while providing improved insight into the upcoming collection for buying and production teams,” he added.

Habbema said, “Additionally, Centric 8 will improve our ability to collaborate with agents and suppliers, a key to Scotch & Soda’s continued success.”

“Centric Software Inc clearly offers the most comprehensive product for this industry,” he states. “Coupled with the best consulting team in the industry, this made the decision quite easy for Scotch & Soda,” he said.

Centric 8 PLM software for fashion companies spans the entire product development and sourcing process-from concept to customer. The PLM software has interconnected modules that deliver comprehensive functionality in an intuitive and easy-to-use suite. Everyone who deals with product development or delivery—including product development, sourcing, line planners, marketing, merchandising, sales and executive teams—works with a single version of the product.

The software has a smart interface that lets teams locate, use and re-use designs, saving time and eliminating duplicate effort. Its powerful analysis capabilities during product development help meet corporate financial objectives.

The Centric 8 PLM suite delivers easy-to-use functionality to manage critical, inseparable business processes, including product development, sourcing, business planning, quality management and collection management.

Scotch & Soda is a Dutch fashion company that designs and manufactures menswear and womenswear under the brand Maison Scotch, boys’ clothing under the brand Scotch Shrunk, girls’ clothing under the brandScotch R’Belle, and denim and urban products under the brand Amsterdams Blauw.
