Happychic Group, a multi-channel fashion company in France, has selected the Centric 8 Product Management Lifecycle (PLM) software by Centric Software Inc. Happychic is set to use the Centric 8 PLM software for retail to improve the visibility efficiency, as it continues its face-paced growth.

According to a statement by the CEO of Happychic, Gauthier Watrelot, the company opens about 40 retail stores and adds around 400 employees every year and plans to grow on an international scale.

Watrelot said, “The Centric 8 PLM solution will allow Happychic to bring more fashion, faster to the market.”

“With Centric 8 PLM software, Happychic will replace numerous spreadsheets and a full day of meetings each week, and will be able to rely on a “single version of the truth” about each product,” he added.

“For a company that sells two products every second, worldwide, this means extraordinary increases in productivity,” he said.

Watrelot also expects to gain benefits in reduction of low-value, administrative tasks, and data entry, and a decrease in the number of iterations required for samples and prototypes. According to Watrelot, Happychic selected Centric 8 PLM software because it is easy to use, visually attractive, and flexible.

“The Centric 8 PLM solution will be able to support the continuous changes Happychic makes between collections each season,” Watrelot said.

The president and CEO of Centric Software Inc., Chris Groves said, “Centric 8 PLM software will help Happychic to continue to realize its mission – ‘to turn fashion into an inspiring, festive experience’ – in the most productive, effective manner possible.”

“With Centric’s Agile DeploymentSM, Happychic can start generating benefits almost as quickly as it sells new products,” he added.

Centric 8 PLM software for fashion companies spans the entire product development and sourcing process — from concept to customer. The PLM software has interconnected modules that deliver comprehensive functionality in an intuitive and easy-to-use suite. Everyone who deals with product development or delivery—including product development, sourcing, line planners, marketing, merchandising, sales and executive teams—works with a single version of the product.

Happychic Group is a French multichannel fashion firm, with men’s ready-to-wear, brands which include Bizzbee, Brice, and Jules.

Centric Software Inc is a leading provider of PLM software for retail, apparel, footwear, luxury and consumer goods companies. (GK)
