ÏD Group, French designer and maker of children’s wear, has selected Centric 8 Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software by Centric, leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software for retail, apparel, footwear, luxury, and consumer goods companies.

ÏD Group will use the Centric 8 PLM solution to enhance visibility and increase efficiency through the product development process, the company said in a press release.

Isabelle Anton, head of product development and sourcing at the Okaïdi brand of ÏD Group said, “Centric will help us to have simpler and faster access to critical information and enable us to refocus on our true mission.”

Valérie Capitan, head of product development and sourcing for the Jacadi brand of ÏD Group said, “We heard great feedback from the market on Centric’s experience, and ability to help us manage our creative processes so that we can work simpler and faster, and collaborate in a timely manner. This PLM initiative is critical to achieve our goals. Its scope is wide, encompassing all processes from product ideation in our studio to taking purchase orders from our franchisees.”

The children’s wear company is expected to begin deployment with its Jacadi and Okaïdi brands, and include internal users, suppliers and franchisees in the implementation. ÏD Group had plans to integrate the Centric 8 software with two Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems it currently uses.

Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric said, “Centric shares ÏD Group’s philosophy of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Centric 8’s built-in industry best practices will streamline ÏD Group’s product development tremendously, and allow it to make smart product decisions quickly and efficiently.”

The Centric 8 PLM suite delivers easy-to-use functionality to manage critical, inseparable business processes, including product development, sourcing, business planning, quality management, and collection management.

Headquartered in Roubaix, France, ÏD Group is a leading children’s wear designer and retailer that offers brands which include Okaïdi, Obaïbi, OBmum, Jacadi, Oxybul-Eveil & Jeux, and ÏDkids. The company operates 1,049 stores in 67 countries on five continents, and employs 6,000. (GK)
