PPI Group to implement NGC's Extended PLM software

PPI Apparel Group, a leader in private-label intimate apparel, has selected NGC’s Extended PLM, which combines fashion Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) in a fully integrated, end-to-end solution.

NGC’s Extended PLM is expected to provide PPI Apparel’s brands with an end-to-end solution, from initial product development and line planning to global sourcing, production management and inbound visibility. Features such as workflow calendars, global collaboration and exception dashboards will help further streamline productivity. NGC’s PLM and SCM system will integrate with PPI Apparel’s existing ERP solution, enabling the systems to seamlessly share and update information, according to a company press release.

Mark Burstein, president of sales, marketing, and product development, NGC said, “PPI Apparel represents some of the best-known brands in women’s intimates, and the company is highly regarded for its outstanding design, quality and customer service. NGC ‘s software will help PPI Apparel manage growth and deliver on its brand promise as the company continues to expand its portfolio of licenses.”

PPI Apparel’s products are sold by leading retailers in thousands of retail stores worldwide. The company focuses on fashion intimates, shapewear and sleepwear for girls, juniors and women. PPI Apparel’s portfolio includes popular brands such as Playboy Intimates, Kathy Ireland Intimates, LA Gear, Union Bay, Strawberry Shortcake and many others.
