Interface Flor won accolades for its RFID innovation

RFID Journal makes an annual announcement of winners of their awards who have made the most innovative use of Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID).
This year, InterfaceFlor Commercial Inc, the largest global manufacturer of commercial carpets has beaten WiWait in the race.
Interface Flor Commercial Inc developed a method for embedding RFID sensors in carpet tiles inventing one of the most dynamic and multi-functional intelligent floor.
The RFID installed floor system, gives detailed daily information about when and where the maintenance was done. A striking feature of this flooring is that it has additional special sensors to detect temperature and moisture in the room or building.
The intelligent floor also features robotic maintenance by providing tracking and localization properties to increase efficiency, lower labor cost and reduce the consumption of chemical.
