Centric Software, a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) for apparel companies and private label brands, announced that it has been selected by the editors of START-IT and its editorial advisory board for the 2008 START-IT 125. The START-IT 125 is a directory of the most influential technology providers in the manufacturing industry.

“Each year, we see more change in the manufacturing industry and the available technology, and each year the editors of START-IT must be more critical in examining the top 125 technology providers,” said Peggy Smedley, editorial director of START-IT. “The START-IT 125 lets our readers know what the best solutions are, who can provide them, and how they can help manufacturers improve business practices.”

“Our customers in the apparel and private label industries view PLM from Centric Software as a strategic solution that drives margin improvement by reducing time to market and increasing collaboration with global vendors and partners,” said Chris Groves, president and CEO of Centric Software.

“The naming of Centric Software to the START-IT 125 is further proof that Centric's enterprise product lifecycle management suite, which focuses on achieving top-level business benefits, is recognized by the manufacturing industry and thought leaders.”

The START-IT 125 can be found in the 2008 START-IT Factbook, the definitive reference guide relating to the manufacturing industry. Along with the START-IT 125, the Factbook offers an in-depth look at the current state of manufacturing employment and productivity; snapshots of key import and export trends; analysis of economic trends and their impact on the manufacturing industry; and a list of today's leading manufacturers by vertical industry.
