Roland DGA Corporation and Vision Numeric have teamed up to provide jewelry makers with a more efficient way to design and produce models for custom rings and pendants.
Vision Numeric's 3DESIGN CAD software works seamlessly with Roland's new JWX-30 jewelry model maker to offer jewelry designers extraordinary ease of use.
After creating a virtual model in 3DESIGN, jewelry designers can select the CAM icon from the pull down menu. This automatically launches Roland CAM software and imports the file for immediate production on the Roland JWX-30.
“This automated solution combines parametric jewelry design software with very best in desktop milling,” said Pedro Gonzalez, Roland DGA application engineer products.
“As a result, jewelers can focus their energy on creating unique, custom designs, as opposed to complex computer operations.”
“The integration of CAD and CAM technologies is important for the jewelry industry,” said Kamal Bounoura, Vision Numeric VP of sales and marketing.
“Jewelry designers will appreciate the ease of use and the spectacular results that this best-in-class technology delivers.”
JWX-30: The new JWX-30 jewelry model maker lets jewelry designers transform their ideas into extremely precise wax models of rings, pendants, bracelets, brooches, earrings and cufflinks.
The desktop mill quickly mills a wide range of wax master models with intricate detail and perfect symmetry. With a powerful 30,000 rpm spindle, it offers high speed production and ultra fine precision (0.00125 mm/step) to produce every subtle nuance of jewelry CAD designs.
