The solar power is stored in a li-ion battery pack, weighing about 4oz, found inside the bag. Because the solar power is stored inside a battery pack, cell phones and iPods can be charged day or night.
Noon will be introducing all green bags without solar panels in the Fall of 2008, under the label “noon,” that will feature the same attention to detail and earth-friendly materials as the solar bags.
Since launching a test run of 50 bags in 2006, Noon Solar has sold out of every product line it has manufactured within weeks.
The company will soon begin selling its Spring/Summer 2008 line of six models that were made with a fair labor, ethical-based manufacturer.
