Datacolor, a global leader in digital color management technology, announced that industry expert and former X-Rite Incorporated executive Doris Brown will lead the company's new branding initiative as Vice President, Marketing.

Ms. Brown brings more than 25 years of branding and marketing experience to Datacolor and has been recognized in the printing, textile and plastics industries as one of the foremost experts on color, a crucial element in corporate branding and identity.

Her leadership skills and knowledge base have been well-documented throughout her career as an executive at X-Rite, and its wholly owned subsidiary Pantone Inc, Agfa Graphics, and International Paper, to name a few.

Ms. Brown's position at Datacolor will include the development of a new corporate branding initiative and creating strategic partnerships and alliances to strengthen the company's reputation and global reach in key marketing areas. Ms. Brown will report directly to Terry Downes, President and CEO of Datacolor.

“Datacolor is a recognized and trusted brand in the industry and I look forward to strengthening the brand by creating and implementing business strategies based on the company's core competencies across all market channels,” states Ms. Brown.

“The ability to consistently create and identify accurate color is critical to establishing a company's position in the marketplace and Datacolor has a proven track record for helping companies do exactly that. This is a great opportunity for me to use my skills to bring broader international recognition to the Datacolor brand,” Ms. Brown added.

“Throughout her professional career, Doris Brown has been an outspoken leader regarding color communication and reproduction, and understands the value and importance of color in all industries, from industrial design to fashion design,” says Terry Downes, President and CEO of Datacolor.

“Our product line helps professionals in the design, textiles, paints, automotive and photographic industries share their vision by creating accurate colors to share with their audiences. Doris' experience in corporate brand identity will help bring the Datacolor brand to a new level of recognized excellence and position us strongly for the future. We are very excited about the new dimension Doris Brown will bring to our established and talented management team,” Downes added.
