Infinite to implement Best of Breed ERP at Arvind Mills

Infinite Computer Solutions (I) Ltd, a global IT solutions and services provider, announced the signing of Business Transformation deal with textile major Arvind Limited for the Best of Breed ERP Implementation and ongoing support for five years post go-live. Arvind is one of the leading apparel and textile organizations based out of India. The project will be implemented across 24 manufacturing locations of Arvind Limited.
The Best of Breed ERP project covers core central corporate functions like finance, purchasing and HR. Infinite assumes responsibility for implementing these solutions for Arvind across its fabrics and garmenting business. The fabrics business of Arvind is mainly denim, shirtings, khakis, knits, blends and voiles, and the garmenting business is spread across shirting, Jeans and Knitted apparel.
Infinite is the business and implementation partner for Datatex Textile ERP in India, South Asia and Australia. Datatex is a global leader in the apparel and textile ERP space with broad range of customers that have annual revenues ranging from a couple of million dollars to over $ 6 billion. Infinite is deploying global ERP major SAP's modules for the financial accounting, budgeting and controlling functionality. Infinite has created a seamless integration platform between Datatex and SAP's ERP solution using the middleware technologies offered by SAP.
Commenting on the selection of Infinite-Datatex solution, Mr Pragnesh Shah, Project Director and Vice President, Arvind Ltd, said, “We feel Datatex–Infinite is the best business solutions provider for the textile and apparel industry. They know our business drivers and compulsions in the right depth. We are very sure this solution will take us to higher level of efficiency in manufacturing, business and financial operations.”
Mr Upinder Zutshi, Chief Executive Officer, Infinite Computer Solutions (I) Limited, said, “The contract with Arvind Mills not only places Infinite in a leadership position in the textile industry but also marks a milestone for Infinite in Business Consulting space for this vertical.”
According to Mr Guruprasad S Rao, Head, Enterprise Solutions Group, Infinite Computer Solutions (I) Limited, "With Infinite assuming responsibility for best of breed ERP project, we believe Arvind will benefit in a major way in production planning. This would certainly contribute to shorter cycle times for product development and manufacturing. Shorter cycle times is an extremely critical parameter to be successful in a highly fashion conscious industry.”
